Matthew Bishop is a fully qualified Sports/Remedial Massage
Therapist. He has been involved in and around the fitness
industry since 2001 and holds Diplomas in both Sports Therapy
and Personal training. He is based at Essential Chiopractic
Clinic three days a week.
What is Sports / Remedial Massage?
Everyone can benefit from a remedial massage, including people
in physically demanding jobs, ad those not so physically demanding
(office jobs, driving long distances etc..). The stresses
and strains of these jobs often produce similar problems to
sports injuries.
Remedial massage can be used for the treatment of injuries
such as whiplash, strained muscles or sprained ligaments as
well as pain or stiffness associated with work.
Remedial massage uses a variety of techniques including
muscle energy work and stretching to release muscle tension
and restore a healthy balance to the musco-skeletal system.
